January 2022 Update

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is staying safe! We have been trying to find times for badminton back at our usual time and place at Pacific Way elementary for the upcoming 2022 season.

We are in discussion for getting a time at Kamloops Christian School (KCS) for January 2022 for 1 month if we are unable to use Pacific Way elementary.

Please answer on the poll below for times that would interest you for badminton in January 2022 at KCS. These are the only times we were able to get.

What times would you like to play badminton at Kamloops Christian School? (January 2022)

September 2021 Update

Just a quick update: we are still waiting for SD73 to make a decision on court rentals which should reach a verdict around mid-September.

Please stay tuned for further updates.

PHO Order – New Updates 2021

Happy new year to everyone.

Unfortunately it appears that the PHO guidelines for running a club are not feasible for the KBA.
We will most likely need to extent our suspension of play until end of February and hopefully re-open back in March of 2021.

Please check back for updates.

KBA Extended Shutdown

Based on the Dec 7th PHO restrictions on gatherings, the KBA will extend their shutdown until Mid-January.

We will update the website in January about possible return dates.  Those that paid for a Fall season’s pass, I will wait until then to calculate a refund, or extend your drop-ins through January.

Until we meet on the court in the New Year, Have a safe Holidays!

Thanks for your patience,

Ashley Robertson

KBA shutdown Until December 7th

KBA Members

Based on the new COVID rules for social interactions implemented by the BC government on Friday, the KBA will follow suit and take a break, starting with Sunday Nov 22nd session.

Regardless of how “safe” Kamloops might be compared to the rest of the province, it makes sense that we model proper precautions in which other groups or organizations are following with everyone’s safety in mind.

We appreciate your participation this season so far, and we look forward to seeing you back on Tuesday Dec 8th.

For those members who invested in the season pass, I’ll calculate the refund amount and deal with it upon our return, considering the BC shutdown may be extended.
