Season Summary 2017-18

The KBA is taking a well deserved summer break and will be back in September at Pacific Way on Tuesday and Thursday nights.  Thanks to all members and drop-in participants for a great year!  Our season was filled with hosting BC Winter Games, hosting Kamloops Open and competing in BadmintonBC tournaments.

BC WINTER GAMES 2018:  The KBA was part of this year’s BC Winter Games in Kamloops.  Members participated in the 4-day Badminton Event in several key roles: Ashley Robertson (Sport Chair), Kate Nanson and Mary Wong (Umpires), Murray Foubister (Photographer/Medal Presenter), and Andrew Shu (Zone 2 Player).  The event was a huge success and KBA was proud to apart of it.

The KBA welcomes all players to our Tuesday/Thursday 8-10 pm sessions at Pacific Way.  We also offer Family Fall Sessions available through Kamloops Par & Rec Guide, from 7 pm to 8 pm.  The KBA is also co-sponsoring Scot Young Training Sessions at SaHali Sec on Sundays 10am-noon, running from September to December.  Scot Young is a Nationally-trained coached currently at the Kelowna Badminton Club with over 40 years of playing/coaching experience.  These lessons are open to new players and for competitive players.  Contact KBA regarding registration details.
