On Thursday nights from Sept 15th until Jan 26th Badminton will go from 8-10pm. (Note that Oct 20th, 27th, and Dec 8th, 15th, and 22nd are all cancelled).

If you found this above schedule confusing just check the calendar at the side at any day to see what time badminton is being held.

Reminder that there aren’t that many days of badminton left, so be sure to come out and play before we go for summer break from June 17th until Sept!

There will be no badminton next week, Tuesday March 22nd, and Thursday March 24th. We will resume after this week.

2016 BC Winter Games Bronze Medalist: Boys Doubles Owen Robertson (Kamloops) and Joel Comfort (Kelowna)

Zone 2 (Thompson-Okanagan) placed 4th in team event in Penticton this past February.  Well Done!

The KBA would to thank Coach Cory Kunz from Kelowna Badminton Club for all his work and congratulations to the Zone 2 players from Merritt, Kelowna and Kamloops.  Their matches were awesome to watch, and the sportsmanship displayed on the court was something to be proud of.

There is a meeting to elect new board of directors on Tuesday, February 23rd from 8-8:30pm. There will be elections and a yearly report, and badminton will carry on as usual during this day as well.

I hope everyone had a good holiday, and are ready to start playing some more badminton! We are playing at our regular times, Tues and Thurs from 8-10pm again, so be sure to come out.

Hello everyone, we are looking for any players that would be interested in playing for a day at the Kelowna Club. This will be a Saturday sometime in Jan or Feb, and we are still deciding on a day that fits everyone’s schedules. If you are interested please consult with Ashley at the regular Pacific Way meet-ups, or contact him personally (email is in board of directors tab at the top).

Ashley and Mark had a good showing at the Kelowna Open, winning C Flight in doubles, and Mark getting to semis of the consolations round, and Ashley winning Consolation singles. The tournament was managed very well and the facility was an excellent experience! We hope to attend future tournaments and collaborate with the Kelowna Badminton group!

Hey everyone, thank you for attending the Kamloops Open 2015. It was a great event and we had a great turnout. Special congratulations to the squad from Castlegar on winning a majority of the events, with Scott winning men’s singles, and doubles and mix n match with Wendy. We hope everyone had a good time and look forward to hosting the Kamloops Open again next year!
