The registration form and membership page on this site has been updated with the new fee structure for the 2011/2012 season. Due to the change of management of the Pacific Way Elementary gym from the City of Kamloops to School Board 73, the fees were increased to compensate for the new rental prices and the start time changed from 7:30pm to 8:00pm. Additional information will be provided at the Annual General Meeting which will be held in October.

Membership fees are due at the end of September. Please fill out the Registration Form and return it with payment to a member of the executive.

The TRU Badminton Team welcomes any full time students (3 or more courses each semester) the chance to make the team for the 2011/12 season. The tryouts will be September 7th at 5pm after an introductory meeting at the Wolfden meeting room at the TCC. There are potentially scholarships available for players that show exceptional skill and commitment. For more information, contact Brad Pape (coach).

The dates for the Kamloops Open 2011 tournament have been confirmed to be November 12 & 13 at the TRU gym. The entry form will be posted soon!

Please be aware that there will be no badminton on Tuesday April 12th and Thursday April 14th.

There are a number of days in December when the Pacific Way gym is unavailable. Please review the December calendar, which is also posted at the club, to see when you can play or not.

Please note the approximate start times on Saturday for the following events.

Mens Singles – 9:00am
Ladies Singles – 10:30am
Mens Doubles – 1:00pm

Make sure you arrive at least a half hour before the start time of the event in order to warm up and in case the tournament gets ahead of schedule. We will be announcing the next match on the next available court ahead of time so at that point you will need to head down to the gym floor.

The tournament banquet will be held at the Sports Central Lounge restaurant located at 1430 Summit Drive. Cocktails @ 5:30, Dinner @ 6:00.

The Kelowna Badminton Club Open will be held on October 16th, 2010. Entry is available online at www.tournamentsoftware.com and Linda Estabrooks (Tournament Director) can be contacted at perfect1@shaw.ca for any questions.
