Badminton starts again on Sunday, December 20th but will be closed on Thursday, December 24th and Thursday, December 31st. If there are enough people that want to play on Christmas eve, the club will be opened. Please email vicepres@kamloopsbadminton.ca if you want to play.

Pacific Way has canceled all public use between Dec 1st to Dec 17th. The next night of badminton will be on Sunday, Dec 20th.

This year was a great turn out and the largest tournament we have had for years. Thank you to everybody who participated and we hope to see you next year for the Kamloops Open 2010.

Please note the approximate start times on Saturday for the following events.

Mens Singles – 9:00am
Ladies Singles – 10:30am
Mens Doubles – 1:00pm

Make sure you arrive at least a half hour before the start time of the event in order to warm up and in case the tournament gets ahead of schedule. Due to the large number of matches this weekend, we will be announcing the next match on the next available court ahead of time so at that point you will need to head down to the gym floor.

The tournament banquet will be held at the Shanghai Mandarin restaurant located in Tudor Village (1315 Summit Drive). Cocktails @ 7:00, Dinner @ 7:30.

The entry form for the Kamloops Open 2009 is now available. Fill in your information right on the PDF, print it and mail it or scan/email it to director2@kamloopsbadminton.ca. Registrations ends on November 4th.

The executive elections were conducted at the 2009 Annual General Meeting. The members are now:

The KBA welcomes our new members Brennan Arduini and Adi Sulaeman for stepping up to the plate!

The Pacific Way gym is unavailable on Thursday, September 17th so there will not be any badminton that night. Play will resume on Sunday, September 20th.

It’s that time of year to renew your Kamloops Badminton Association membership. The details can be found on the Memberships page along with a link to the Registration Form PDF. The fees have slightly increased from last year, mostly due to the additional night of play. If you have any questions then don’t hesitate to contact one of the Board of Directors.

The Kamloops Badminton Association has extended the number of days it hosts badminton to include Sunday from 7:30pm to 10:00pm at Pacific Way. The cost will be included in the new season membership fees. The Sunday night sessions will being this Sunday, September 6th.

Mark your calendars! The Kamloops Open has been scheduled for November 14-15 at the TRU Gymnasium. More information will be posted on the Tournaments page closer to the dates.
