Just a friendly reminder that badminton is still going on, so please come out and play!

Also there will be no badminton this upcoming Thursday, May 7th.

We finally have some club t-shirts that actually came out really nicely, and if you’re interested in buying one please bring $24 and ask for them the next time you come to badminton!

KBA players had a great showing in all categories at the Kelwona tournament this past weekend: Ashley R. was a finalist in Men’s Singles. Aaron Wong and UBC-O partner Jean-Luc placed 2nd in Mix&Match, while Ashley and Owen Robertson were finalists in the Consolation round.

Aaron W. and Ashley R. were crowned Men’s Doubles Champions.

KBA would like thank the UBC-O club for hosting the tournament. It was lots of fun and was a very well-run event. Special thanks to the organizers!

The Kamloops Badminton Association would like to thank the sports legacy fund for helping us obtain a bird feeder! Pictured below is a badminton feeder called the Blackknight Trainer, which can be set at various speeds and angles to allow badminton enthusiasts to practice all sorts of shots. It’s practically like a full-time coach, and is a strong investment in the future of the KBA. We thank the Kamloops Blazers legacy fund for providing the financial and organizational support required to build the capacity and effectiveness of badminton here in Kamloops, B.C.

Thanks to everyone for coming out to the tournament and playing. Also congrats to the winners and runner-ups!

We will be having for fun tournaments more frequently in the future, so don’t be afraid to join, as it really helps everyone improves their game.

Also congrats to some of our club members that placed well in the Kelowna Open! Ashley got 2nd in singles and Aaron and Kale were first for mix n match. Congrats to Owen as well for placing first in B flight singles in one of his recent tournaments! (See all pics below)

* It will the same time as always 8-10pm!

We will be having a for-fun mix and match tournament on March 5th! Be sure to come, tell your friends, it doesn’t cost anything to enter!

There will be prizes for winners, which will come straight from Aaron’s college funds!

Hello everybody,

There is a tournament going on in Salmon Arm on Saturday, January 24th. It will be a one day event that starts at 9am up until 5pm. The cost is $35 for one or more events, which includes lunch. It will be held in Kings Christian School, 350 B 30th Street N.E.
